Services	Trades gathered material bundles for Gold through the Daily Lottery ticket system.

The Traveling Merchant is the main early source of Gold for players who gather resources. He stands near his cart on the Mainland and takes bundles of gathered materials in exchange for lottery tickets, each of which is a chance at Gold.

The merchant runs a single Daily Lottery on a 24-hour cycle: a 12-hour window to buy tickets, followed by the draw at 12:00 UTC, then a 12-hour window to claim winnings before they expire at midnight UTC.

Update: The old Global Travelling Merchant community donation drives have been retired. The Daily Lottery is now the only way to trade materials for Gold, and Metal is no longer used by the merchant.

Important: You must complete your Daily Quests before you can buy tickets or claim Gold.

How the Daily Lottery works

The cycle runs over a full 24 hours:

1. Buy tickets (12-hour window) — turn in material bundles to receive lottery tickets. You must buy before 12:00 UTC.
2. The draw (12:00 UTC) — winning tickets are drawn. Each winning ticket pays 1 Gold.
3. Claim (12-hour window) — collect your Gold winnings any time before midnight UTC, when unclaimed winnings expire.

Ticket bundle

Each ticket costs one bundle of materials:

Metal is no longer part of the merchant system — it was only used by the retired Global donation drives.

Daily ticket allowance

The number of tickets you can buy per day scales with the $KINS you have held for 24 hours:

$KINS must be held in your wallet for 24 hours before it counts toward your allowance.

Winning and refunds

• Each winning ticket pays 1 Gold, claimable until midnight UTC.
• A losing ticket refunds 50% of its materials — the other 50% is burned. Entering the lottery has a real cost whether you win or lose, so only stake materials you can afford to lose.

Grandfather clause: Tickets bought before the Daily Lottery update keep the old 95% refund on a loss. Only tickets bought under the new rules use the 50% refund.
