| Services | Binds a Relic to earned gear for 5 Gold · Rerolls a woven Relic for 5 Gold |
Qadim the Relicweaver lives in a house in The Dunes East with a shard on the table. He says every item carries a hidden thread — bring him something you earned and 5 Gold, and he will bind it to something greater.
Choose carefully. A Relic can never be moved to another item — though Qadim will now replace one with a fresh roll, for a price. Full details are on Update:Relics.
Dialogue
When he was first placed in the Dunes (before the weave opened), Qadim said:
"The relics are restless yet. Come back when the sand has settled."
Now that the weave is open, he greets visitors with:
"Every item carries a hidden thread. For 5 Gold, I can bind it to something greater. Choose carefully — once woven, a Relic can never be undone."
Official v5.3 copy also described him as drawing relics out of the sand. (Server Update v5.3)
Services
| Service | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Relic weave | 5 |
The shard decides which of the 20 Relics in the item's own category binds to it — a tool draws only tool Relics, and so on. The Relic stays with the item. |
| Relic reroll | 5 |
Bring an already-woven item back and Qadim replaces its Relic with a fresh roll. Each item can be rerolled at most 10 times; after the tenth it is locked with whatever it holds. The item, its durability and its identity are unchanged — only the Relic is replaced. |
Qadim takes a drag from carried inventory, the hotbar, or the worn Armor row only — never from the bank.
The weave
- 60 Relics — 20 for tools, 20 for weapons, 20 for armor — across five rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mythic. The three Mythics are of Qadim's own making: Qadim's Fortune, Qadim's Wrath, and Qadim's Embrace.
- Rarity odds per weave: Common 60%, Uncommon 25%, Rare 10%, Legendary 4%, Mythic 1%.
- Relics belong to the item, not the player. Sell it and the Relic goes with the Marketplace listing; buy it back and the Relic returns with it.
- A Relic cannot be moved to another item or detached — but a woven item can be rerolled (see above), and an item can be destroyed with its Relic: drag it onto the Trash slot in your inventory. The game warns "Destroy item AND its relic?" — the Relic is destroyed with the item and can never be recovered.
What he will take
Earned gear only — the free trainer kit is not eligible.
- the Iron Pickaxe, Iron Axe, Iron Sword and Level 2 Fishing Rod
- Copper and Silver pickaxes, axes, and swords
- the Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod (fireproof / lava rod), and every piece of armor
What Relics do
- Tools — faster swings, bigger hauls, better odds on the rare finds, more XP
- Weapons — heavier hits, follow-through strikes, poisons, life drawn back out of a kill
- Armor — damage turned aside, venom blunted, a deeper health pool, and one that pulls you back from a death you should not have walked away from
Caps: armor stats ±10%, follow-up strikes 15 damage, deepest health pool 110.
