The Traveling Merchant is the main early source of Gold for players who gather resources. He stands near his cart on the Mainland and trades a fixed bundle of materials for Gold.
Following the latest update, the merchant operates under a dual system featuring guaranteed **Personal Gold** limits alongside a competitive **Global Travelling Merchant** pool.
Material Bundle Cost
To receive any Gold from the merchant (whether Personal or Global), you must trade a complete bundle of the following materials:
| Material | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 | Gathered through Woodcutting in the Wilderness | |
| 1,500 | Gathered through Mining in the Wilderness | |
| 700 | Mined from coal-bearing rock nodes | |
| 30 | Made by cooking raw Fish | |
| 1 | Reward for turning in the full bundle |
1. Personal Gold
The **Personal Gold** system gives players access to a guaranteed daily supply of Gold that does not conflict with the global community pool.
Requirements
- You must complete your **daily quests** before you can claim your Personal Gold.
- Your guaranteed maximum daily trades are determined by your $KINS tier:
| $KINS held | Guaranteed Daily Gold |
|---|---|
| Less than 1,000 | 0 |
| 1,000 to 4,999 | 1 Gold |
| 5,000 to 9,999 | 3 Gold |
| 10,000+ | 5 Gold |
Note: Larger $KINS holders will have more exclusive benefits and features added in future updates.
2. Global Travelling Merchant
The competitive side of the merchant features a shared pool of 3,000 Gold. Accessing this pool requires players to earn contribution weight beforehand.
Mechanics
- Donate Materials: Players donate resources to the merchant to accumulate hidden back-end contribution points.
- Unlock Claim Limits: These points determine your account's claim limit when the Global Merchant opens. High participation can unlock up to a maximum limit of 10 Gold per account.
- Purchase the Gold: Unlocking a claim limit does not grant instant Gold. Once the merchant opens, you must still purchase your allocated Gold using the standard material bundles.
