Grimjaw is the Frostmere blacksmith. Players visit him after reaching Frostmere to smelt ingots and forge tools and swords. His forge and Harun's tower in Dunes West offer the same smithing services.
His forge is one of the main progression points after early gathering and combat training.

What tiers do: Higher-tier axes and pickaxes swing faster (copper, iron, and silver progressively shorten the swing) — they do not change gathering yield or XP. Sword tiers differ in damage per hit: starter 5, copper 23, Lvl 2 (iron) 26, silver 30 — no sword multiplies Combat XP. Grimjaw previously offered one-step Lvl 2 tool upgrades for Metal, Wood, and Coal; that system was replaced by the smelt-and-forge tiers above.
