Maelor the Scrollbinder is a quest NPC on the Mainland who distributes mystical scrolls bound to individual players. Each scroll carries a unique set of tasks — complete all tasks on a Scroll and return it to Maelor for a reward.
Pale-blue eyes glow beneath his hood. "I am Maelor, the Scrollbinder. Finish a scroll — every task on it — bring it to me, and you will be rewarded."
How it works
- **Get a scroll** — Mobs drop scrolls as loot: Zombies, Dragons, Wolves, and Magma Brutes all carry them. Drop chances are still being tuned. The Beginner Scroll is one example.
- **Scrolls are bound** — Each scroll is bound to the player who picks it up. You can only carry one scroll at a time.
- **Learn your tasks** — Talk to Maelor while holding a scroll to see what tasks are inscribed on it. Every scroll is unique to its bearer.
- **Complete all tasks** — Finish every task on the scroll. You cannot get another scroll until the current one is completed.
- **Return for reward** — Bring the completed scroll back to Maelor and claim your reward.
Rewards
Rewards depend on the scroll itself. Completed scrolls grant between **5–7 Gold** as confirmed so far, but Maelor hints at more — Easter eggs and hidden rewards are part of the mystery.
"That depends on the scroll," the Scrollbinder says, eyes glinting beneath his hood. "Finish one, hand it over, and find out. Maelor never shortchanges a bearer."

"Fight in the wilds, and they find you — dragons, zombies, wolves. Each scroll carries tasks inked just for its bearer. Complete them ALL, then bring it here."
Scrolls drop from wilderness mobs. The exact drop chances are being tuned.
"What kind of reward?"
"That depends on the scroll. Finish one, hand it over, and find out. Maelor never shortchanges a bearer."
Rewards vary by scroll. Confirmed: 5–7 Gold per completed scroll, with hidden Easter eggs yet to be discovered.
