Emberstone
Zone PvP / Open
Connected to The Shores (south return)
Notable features Fishable lava pits, Magma Brute mobs, Magma Brute Pet, Medium Scroll, mineable basalt spires, fenced safe camp
Entry requirement Minimum Total Level 25 (closed to free accounts)

The Emberstone is a molten lava realm north of The Shores. It uses the same open-PvP rules as the Wilderness family of zones: other players can attack you, hostile mobs roam the realm, and dying can cost you what you are carrying.

Unlike calm beach areas, the Emberstone is built for high-level Combat and Fishing training in a nether-style basalt landscape with glowing lava pits. Magma Brute kills are a good farming spot for Gold, Molten Rock, and Brute Horn, with a rare chance at a Medium Scroll.

Entry: Enter from the north edge of The Shores (Total Level 25 required). Free accounts (holding under 1,000 $KINS) cannot enter. If you die in the Emberstone, you respawn back at The Shores — not the Mainland.

What's Here

Feature Use
Lava pits Fish from beside a pit with a Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod; catches surface as Molten Rock instead of fish. Grants Fishing XP. Three pits, with two live fishing spots that move between them.
Magma Brute Large hostile mob — three roam the realm, respawn after 90 seconds, and carry 150 HP each. Drops Brute Horn (1 in 5), Gold (1 in 350), Medium Scroll (1 in 1,500), and the Magma Brute Pet (1 in 500).
Safe camp Fenced refuge in the south-west corner (around the return to The Shores) where PvP is off and Magma Brutes will not enter or attack you. Open on the south edge, with a gap in its north fence.
Basalt spires The rocky spires are mining nodes that yield Stone — 1 per swing, plus 20 Mining XP when the spire is mined out. They are the biggest rock nodes in the game: footprints run up to 3x2, so a large spire cluster is 13 swings for 13 Stone (the biggest rock elsewhere is 10). Spires never carry Coal, and a mined-out spire reappears 30-60 seconds later. Mining one out has a 1 in 10,000 chance of the Obsidian Cape (Emberstone only). There are no trees.

Entry Requirement

The Shores → Emberstone entry is gated behind a Total Level check.

Requirement Notes
Total Level 25 Based on core skills. You must meet this before the north-edge arrows into the Emberstone activate.
Paid account Free accounts (under 1,000 $KINS) cannot enter.
Route From The Shores, walk to the north edge and enter through the wilderness-style arrows.

Combat

The Emberstone's main PvE threat is the Magma Brute.

Mob Behaviour Combat XP Drops Notes
Magma Brute Aggro from 8 tiles; pounces up to 8 tiles 100 XP per kill Brute Horn (1 in 5), Gold (1 in 350, 1-5), Medium Scroll (1 in 1,500), Magma Brute Pet (1 in 500) 150 HP — hits to kill depend on your sword (7 with copper, 6 with iron, 5 with silver). Bites hit for 8-19 HP, with a +50% penalty if you wear no armor at all. Three active at a time. All drops rolled independently per kill.

Fishing

Lava pits are fishable tiles — stand beside a pit and cast, the same way you would at The Pond or The Shores. Lava fishing requires the Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod — ordinary rods cannot cast into lava — and uses no bait.

Action Tool Result XP per cast (base) XP per cast (guild bonus) Notes
Lava fishing Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod Molten Rock 125 XP 131 XP Same cast rate as regular Fishing. Molten Rock is used in Demon Chest purchases and Kaziir's armour recipes.

Mounts

Emberstone lava fishing no longer grants any mounts, cosmetics, or pets. The Magma Crocodile Mount was previously a rare lava fishing drop here; it was removed from the pool along with the other fishing drops and is now Marketplace-only, the same status as the Molten Phoenix Mount.

Mount Base speed Max speed (trained) How to get Notes
Magma Crocodile Mount 25% 55% (trainable) No longer drops from lava fishing. Marketplace only. Legacy mount. Train via Sorrel the Stablemaster.
Molten Phoenix Mount 25% 55% (trainable) No longer drops. Marketplace only. Legacy mount. Train via Sorrel the Stablemaster.

All mounts now use the 25% base, 55% cap system. See Mount Training for full details and Gilded Mounts for the high-stakes gilding ritual.
