Update:Hitsplats

Combat got a voice in Server Update v5.8. Every hit now shows its number, every mob rolls its own damage, King Scorpia wakes as an announced world event, $KINS holder benefits went live, and three new hats joined the Hard Scroll pool.
As of September 2026: King Scorpia's scroll rates were retuned again after this update — the current rates are Hard Scroll 1 in 500 and Medium Scroll 1 in 300 — and the three new Hard Scroll hats listed below were later widened to 1 in 300 each. Later the same day the event became a region-wide wave: every 20–40 minutes he rises on every server in the region at once, and the banner names only the place. Armor now changes the damage you take: worn armor cuts each hit by up to 15%, and a completely unarmored player takes 50% more from Giant Scorpions, Magma Brutes, King Scorpia and the Venomweaver. The threshold perks unlock only once the balance has been held above the line for 24 hours (dropping below still locks them straight away).
Hitsplats
Every hit lands as a red splat with the damage on it.
- Hit a mob and the number appears over its head.
- Get hit and the number appears over your own head.
- Land the killing blow and a skull and bones sits on the corpse for about 2.5 seconds, then fades.
Player health no longer snaps to multiples of 20. You can sit at values like 63 HP, and the splat tells you exactly how you got there.
Per-mob damage rolls
Contact damage used to be counted in shared blocks of 20 HP. Every listed mob now rolls its own range on every hit:
| Mob | Damage per hit |
|---|---|
| Chicken | 0–1 |
| Zombie | 2–10 |
| Dragon | 3–12 |
| Wolf | 3–12 |
| Magma Brute | 8–19 |
| Giant Scorpion | 9–20 |
| Mini Venomweaver | 15–22 |
| King Scorpia | 23–36 |
Eldergrove chickens
Eldergrove chickens peck for 0–1 if you stand on them. A chicken can never kill you — the peck is capped short of your last point of health so the peaceful-realm promise still holds.
King Scorpia world event
King Scorpia no longer regrows on a private 20–40 minute camper timer. He stays down until an event wakes him. At a random moment one server gets the boss, and the whole region is told which server and place via a banner.
His scroll rates were halved so scrolls-per-hour stay flat while he rises about twice as often:
| Drop | Was | Now |
|---|---|---|
| Hard Scroll | 1 in 100 | 1 in 200 |
| Medium Scroll | 1 in 75 | 1 in 150 |
Nothing else on his table moved. Venomweaver scroll rates were untouched.
$KINS holder benefits
On-chain $KINS balance is read live and drives both nameplate/chat tint and XP boosts:
| Tier | $KINS held | XP boost |
|---|---|---|
| White | 1,000+ | — |
| Blue | 10,000+ | +1% |
| Green | 100,000+ | +2% |
| Gold | 1,000,000+ | +3% |
| Purple | 5,000,000+ | +4% |
XP boosts stack with the guild +5% (Purple + guild = +9%).
Threshold perks on top of the ladder:
| Held | Perk |
|---|---|
| 25,000 | Double XP on daily-quest rewards |
| 50,000 | A sixth inventory row (24 → 30 slots) |
| 50,000 | My Outfits — five saved looks |
| 75,000 | A free bank page (+48 slots) |
| 75,000 | A second daily spin on the spinner |
| 100,000 | +5 marketplace listings at once |
New Hard Scroll hats
All three drop from Hard Scroll redemption at 1 in 1,000 each (independent rolls):
- Straw Hat — new hat-slot cosmetic
- Demon Mask — wears in the glasses slot (stacks with any hat; cannot wear with actual glasses)
- Pirate Hat — new model for the old pirate hat
Magma Brute respawn
Magma Brutes in Emberstone respawn in 90 seconds (down from the briefly tested two-minute window).
Quality-of-life and fixes
- Restyled death screen to match the carved-slate UI
- Fishing stall rod/raft purchases now ask for confirm (1-gold bait stays one-click)
- Rafts render correctly for players already sailing when you load in
- Whisperwood chicken swings land again after a tree-collision desync
- Eldergrove shack load hitch reduced (shared textures)
- Death/tombstone overflow, stack, and mount/cosmetic restore bugs fixed
- Drops with nowhere to go reach the bank
- Angler raffle refuses to roll into a full cosmetic bag
- The rod you fish with must be the rod in your hands (and in bags, not only the bank)
