Cooked Fish Meat is the original name of Cooked Herring — the item is shown in-game as Cooked Herring. Since the fishing update each fish species cooks into its own item (Cooked Trout, Cooked Bass, Cooked Tuna, Cooked Swordfish); Cooked Herring is the Herring tier, and it is the one cooked fish used for Guild Life upkeep.
Cooking
Each cook consumes 1 Wood and can fail — the burn chance starts at 30% at low Cooking levels and slides down to 5% at level 40. A failed cook produces worthless Burnt Herring instead, which pays no XP.
