The Marketplace is Kintara's player-to-player trading hub. Open it from the cart icon on the in-game HUD to list items for Gold or $KINS, browse other players' listings, post buy orders, and manage your active sales.

The Marketplace window.

The Marketplace lets players turn surplus gear, resources, mounts, cosmetics, and real-estate keys into value. Most listings use in-game Gold; high-value or on-chain trades can be listed in $KINS instead.

Gold sales pay a 5% fee with a 1-Gold minimum, deducted from the seller's payout — the buyer always pays exactly the listed price. Because of the minimum fee, the lowest possible Gold listing price is 2 Gold. When a buyer purchases a $KINS listing, the seller receives 95% of the payment; the other 5% goes to the game treasury (minus the referrer's share when the buyer was referred).

Click the cart icon on the in-game HUD, located in the radar area, to open the Marketplace window. It has four tabs:

  • Sell — create new listings
  • Buy — browse and purchase listings
  • My Listings — manage active sales
  • Orders — post and fill buy orders

Marketplace Access

Anyone can browse and buy from the Marketplace.

To create listings, an account must hold at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours. This holding requirement is part of Kintara's value-out system.

To list, an account must also have finished the tutorial and have every core skill (Smithing excepted) at level 5+, and must not be standing in the Wilderness, its caves, Emberstone or the Dunes. Buying and selling both require being logged into the game.

The following features unlock after the account has held at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours:

  • Marketplace listings
  • Player-to-player trading
  • Wagers
  • Guild-bank deposits

Buying, earning, and playing are not locked behind the 24-hour holding period.

Sell

Use the red Sell tab to list items from your inventory.

  1. Select Sell.
  2. Read the prompt: "List items for gold or for $KINS. Choose a tradeable item below, then set amount and price."
  3. Pick a tradeable item from your inventory list, such as Wood, Stone, coal, weapons, potions, mounts, or property keys.
  4. Set the amount and price for the listing.
  5. Choose whether the listing is priced in Gold or $KINS.
  6. Confirm the listing.

While an item is listed, it is held in escrow and cannot be used until the listing is cancelled or sold.

Every listing runs on a seller-chosen lifetime of 1, 3, or 7 days (default 3). When a listing expires it disappears from buyer-facing boards and stops accepting purchases, but nothing moves on its own: the item stays safely escrowed, you get one DM, and the listing stays visible in My Listings for you to cancel or relist.

Standard accounts can have up to 5 active listings; Kintara Club members get 10. Players holding at least 100,000 $KINS receive 5 additional listing slots through Holder Benefits — for a maximum of 10 active listings (15 for Club members).

A single listing can hold up to 5,000 of an item (10,000 for Kintara Club members). When selling Gold itself, the minimum listing quantity is 5 Gold. Gold can only be listed for $KINS.

Buy

Use the green Buy tab to browse listings posted by other players.

  1. Select Buy.
  2. Browse available listings.
  3. Select the item you want and review its listing details.
  4. Complete the purchase.

Buyers pay the listed price in Gold or $KINS, depending on how the seller listed the item. Purchased items are delivered directly to the buyer.

Buying from the Marketplace is available even before the account has held 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours.

Buy Orders

Alongside direct listings, the Marketplace supports buy orders — standing offers to buy an item.

  • Post an order of the form "buying up to N of an item for X Gold in total".
  • The full Gold cost is placed in escrow when the order is created; cancelling or expiry refunds whatever has not been spent.
  • Buy orders are Gold-only. Almost any tradeable item can be ordered except property keys, Gold itself and gear that wears (armor, forged tools and weapons).
  • Sellers can partially fill an order — each fill pays out immediately, and the 5% Gold fee applies to fill payouts like any other Gold sale.
  • Standard accounts can keep 3 buy orders open at once; Kintara Club members can keep 6.
  • Minimum order price is 5 Gold in total, and each order runs 1, 3 or 7 days (default 3); an expired order is cancelled and its unspent Gold returned automatically.

My Listings

The My Listings tab shows every active sale you currently have on the Marketplace.

Use it to:

  • Check the price and quantity on open listings.
  • Review listing details.
  • Cancel a listing and return escrowed items to your inventory.
  • Track which items have sold.
  • Bulk-delist multiple listings.

When listings are bulk-delisted, the returned items retain the durability they had when they were listed.

Listing Information

Marketplace listings now display important item information directly in the listing rows.

Depending on the item, buyers can see:

  • A mount's speed percentage
  • A tool's remaining uses
  • An item's wear or durability

This lets buyers tell a trained mount from an untrained one without opening every listing. Armor and forged tools can only be listed brand-new (full durability), so every one on the board is pristine. Sellers do not need to enter these details manually.

Listing Types

Listing type Currency Fee Notes
Gold listing Gold 5% (minimum 1 Gold) Standard in-game soft-currency sale — the fee comes out of the seller's payout, and the buyer pays exactly the listed price. The fee applies to all sellers, including Kintara Club members.
Token listing $KINS 5% (treasury, minus any referrer's share) On-chain payout — seller receives 95%; the 5% fee goes to the treasury, less the referrer's share when the buyer was referred. Nothing is burned.

Marketplace Interface Updates

The Marketplace received a major interface and listing rebuild:

  • A cleaner marketplace board
  • Dedicated item pages
  • Listing rows with item speed and wear information
  • Bulk delisting that returns items with their listed durability
  • Restored access to every page of listings
  • Improved busy-server handling so an active market does not appear empty

What Can Be Sold

Common Marketplace categories include:

Mounts display their speed in the listing interface — review it before purchasing. Armor and forged tools can only be listed at full durability.

Direct player-to-player trading is separate from Marketplace listings and has its own trade interface.

Marketplace Fees

Gold listings pay a 5% Marketplace fee with a minimum of 1 Gold per sale, deducted from the seller's payout:

  • The buyer pays exactly the listed price.
  • Because of the 1-Gold minimum fee, the minimum Gold listing price is 2 Gold.
  • The fee is the same for Kintara Club members — membership does not discount it.
  • The fee Gold is removed from the game entirely and never re-enters circulation.

$KINS listings have a 5% fee:

  • 95% goes to the seller.
  • 5% goes to the game treasury — minus the referrer's share (1–2.5% of the price) when the buyer was referred.
  • 0% is burned.

The Marketplace fee is no longer a $KINS burn mechanic. The paid Spinner Wheel is the remaining active $KINS burn mechanic — the Wishing Well charity campaign has concluded and its donations are closed.

Referrals

The Referrals system pays $KINS to players whose referrals make Marketplace purchases.

When a referred buyer purchases a $KINS-priced listing, a portion of the Marketplace fee is paid to the referrer in $KINS inside the buyer's transaction. There is no claim button or waiting period.

A volume ladder increases the referrer's share as the referrals' lifetime Marketplace spending grows.

Tips

  • Bank valuables on the Mainland before listing high-tier gear you still use in the Wilderness.
  • Check recent sale prices before undercutting — the community tracks high-value flips on social channels and tools like kintara.gold.
  • Real-estate keys and rare mounts often trade for far more than their original release price in Gold.
  • Both listing types carry a 5% fee — Gold sales have a 1-Gold minimum fee, while $KINS listings pay their fee to the treasury and reach on-chain buyers.
  • Check a mount listing's shown speed before buying.
  • Use the My Listings tab to cancel or bulk-delist items and return them to your inventory.
