How to get	Fishing in Whisperwood (Fishing level 6, Trout Bait)

Trout is the second of Kintara's five fish, caught in Whisperwood. Cooking it converts it to Cooked Trout, which heals 10 HP — or, on a failed cook, to Burnt Trout, which is junk. Cooked Trout does nothing in The Dunes: the heat blocks every cooked fish there, and cacti is the only food that heals in the sand.

Cooking Trout requires Cooking level 6. Cooking any fish is a roll against your Cooking level — the burn chance starts at 30% (level 5 and below) and slides down toward, but never reaches, 0% (5% at level 40). The Roast Pit shows your exact current burn chance.

Uses

• Cooked Trout can be traded up for Bass Bait (10 Trout, raw or cooked, for 5 Bass Bait) at Old Fisher or Dockhand Maren.
• Cooked Trout counts toward the Angler Outfit raffle at The Angler — one exchange takes 150 of each cooked species (Herring, Trout, Bass, Tuna, Swordfish) and grants 10 raffle tickets. The outfit itself needs Fishing 30 to wear; the exchange has no level requirement.
