A full Silver armor set (4 pieces) requires 18 ingots total and grants +40 shield bonus.
Silver armor no longer grants a shield bonus — each piece gives percentage damage reduction instead, and a full Silver set (4 pieces) reduces incoming damage by 15%. Armor is crafted at [[Kaziir the Armoursmith]] in [[The Dunes]] and requires Combat 25 to wear.

How to get Smelted from Silver Ore + Coal

Silver Ingot is a high-tier crafting material created by smelting Silver Ore and Coal at any furnace. Silver Ingots are used to forge the best tools and armor in Kintara — the fastest-hitting weapons and most protective gear all use Silver.

Silver Ingots represent the pinnacle of the crafting system and the reward for reaching end-game Mining and Smithing.

Smelting

Silver Ore is smelted into Silver Ingots at any furnace (Frostmere or Dunes West). No Smithing level required to smelt. Smelts are priced per ingot, with a ×1/×5/×10 batch selector and a pace of about 1 second per ingot.

Input Output XP Time
4 Silver Ore + 8 Coal 1 Silver Ingot 30 XP ~1 second per ingot

A ×10 batch consumes 40 ore + 80 coal for 10 ingots and 300 XP.

Uses

Silver Ingots are used exclusively for high-tier crafting:

Item Cost Smithing req Notes
Silver Axe 80 ingots + 2,000 Wood 20 Best gathering tool — swings 15% faster
Silver Sword 90 ingots + 2,500 Wood 23 Best melee weapon — hits for 30
Silver Pickaxe 100 ingots + 3,000 Wood 27 Best mining tool — swings 15% faster
Silver Helmet 80 ingots + 60 Molten Rock + 15 Brute Horn 24 3% damage reduction (head armor)
Silver Boots 40 ingots + 20 Molten Rock + 10 Brute Horn 26 1.5% damage reduction (foot armor)
Silver Legguards 75 ingots + 70 Molten Rock + 25 Brute Horn 28 4.5% damage reduction (leg armor)
Silver Body Armor 100 ingots + 80 Molten Rock + 25 Brute Horn 30 6% damage reduction (torso armor)

Silver armor no longer grants a shield bonus — each piece gives percentage damage reduction instead, and a full Silver set (4 pieces) reduces incoming damage by 15%. Armor is crafted at Kaziir the Armoursmith in The Dunes and requires Combat 25 to wear.

Crafting Progression

Silver Ingots are the final tier in the crafting hierarchy:

Tier Ingot Smelting cost (per ingot) Tool Smithing req Armor Smithing req Swing-speed bonus
Low Copper Ingot 10 Stone + 5 Coal 0–7 N/A +5%
Mid Iron Ingot 6 Iron Ore + 6 Coal 10–17 14–20 +10%
High Silver Ingot 4 Silver Ore + 8 Coal 20–27 24–30 +15%

Silver tools swing fastest and armor protects best. A full Silver loadout is the end-game power fantasy.

Sourcing Silver Ore

To create Silver Ingots, you need Silver Ore:

Location Requirement Notes
The Dunes (all three realms) Mining 20 The only silver ore region — every Dunes rock yields silver ore; requires heat management

Frostmere rocks are all Iron Ore — silver comes from the Dunes alone.

Repair Costs

Silver tools and armor can be repaired at any blacksmith (Grimjaw in Frostmere, Harun in Dunes West):

Repair scenario Cost Notes
Partly worn 60% of the full craft cost, scaled to the durability missing Charged in every recipe material — ingots and Wood (armor: ingots, Molten Rock and Brute Horn) — with a minimum of 1 of each. A half-worn item costs about 30% of its recipe.
0 durability The item breaks and is destroyed, so repair it before it runs out

Worn gear can still be traded between players, but it can't be listed on the Marketplace until it is repaired to full durability.

Stack Size

Silver Ingots stack up to 10,000 in a single inventory slot. Large crafting projects can be completed without inventory management issues.
