Squid Bait is the fifth and highest tier of Fishing bait, required to catch Swordfish in The Deep — the raft-only water at The Shores. It's traded up from Tuna, the fish caught with the previous bait tier — the top of the bait ladder.

Note: Raw and cooked Tuna both count toward the trade, and raw is spent first so your cooked food survives as long as possible. Bait is only consumed on a successful catch, never on an empty cast. Only fish in your inventory or hotbar count toward a trade — banked fish don't — and bait has to be carried to be used.
