Pearl is a material fished up at The Sunken Isles. In game it's described as "A lustrous pearl from the Sunken Isles. Collectors and traders prize them."
Uses
Pearls have no use in the game yet: no shop buys them and no recipe takes them.
Pearls stack, bank and trade like any other material, and can be sold on the Marketplace.
How to get

The Pearl lands in your backpack on top of that cast's fish, and the game tells you "You found a Pearl!" A Pearl that finds a full bag is lost. The open sea between the three grounds holds no fish, so it brings up no Pearls either. A rod relic with rare-find shortens the odds.
Sunken Isles fishing needs a Level 2 Fishing Rod, the ground's own bait, Fishing 32 or higher (36 at the wreck, 40 at the trench) and a Wooden Raft in your bag. Free accounts can't sail to the Sunken Isles, so they never find Pearls.
