Qadim the Relicweaver opens his house in The Dunes — bring earned gear and 5 gold, and the shard may bind one of 60 Relics to your item forever.

Qadim the Relicweaver keeps a house in The Dunes East with a shard on the table, and says every item carries a hidden thread. Bring him something you earned and 5 Gold, and he will bind it to something greater. Choose carefully — once woven, a Relic can never be undone.

Background

Qadim first appeared in Server Update v5.3 as a Coming soon Dunes NPC — work visible in-world, service not yet ready. Official site copy said he was drawing relics out of the sand:

"The relics are restless yet. Come back when the sand has settled."

(Official v5.3 notes.) His house is on The Dunes East, alongside Kaziir the Armoursmith and Sahriel the Bowbinder.

The weave

  • 5 Gold a shot.
  • The shard decides which Relic you receive.
  • 60 Relics exist in total:
    • 20 for tools
    • 20 for weapons
    • 20 for armor
  • Rarity runs from common up through the three of Qadim's own making — the Mythic tier, above Legendary:
    • Qadim's Fortune
    • Qadim's Wrath
    • Qadim's Embrace

What he will take

Earned gear only. The free trainer kit is not eligible — he wants a tool with a story, not one you were handed this morning.

Tier / set Eligible items
Level 2 Level 2 pickaxe, axe, sword, and fishing rod (Level 2 Fishing Rod)
Copper Copper pickaxes, axes, and swords
Silver Silver pickaxes, axes, and swords
Special The fireproof / Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod, and every piece of armor
Not eligible Free trainer kit starter tools (including the free Starter Fishing Rod)

What they do

Category Effects
Tools Faster swings, bigger hauls, better odds on the rare finds, more XP
Weapons Heavier hits, follow-through strikes, poisons, life drawn back out of a kill
Armor Damage turned aside, venom blunted, a deeper health pool, and one that pulls you back from a death you should not have walked away from

The binding

  • A Relic belongs to one item, not to you.
  • Sell that sword and the Relic goes with it — it shows on the Marketplace listing, and it is yours again if you buy it back.
  • A Relic cannot be moved to another item, re-rolled, or removed.

As of 9 September 2026 a woven item can be re-rolled: 5 Gold per reroll, at most 10 rerolls per item, after which it locks. Relics still cannot be moved to another item; an item (and its Relic with it) can be destroyed via the inventory Trash slot. See Qadim the Relicweaver.
