Lvl 2 Pickaxe is the iron tier of the pickaxe ladder, forged through Smithing at Frostmere or at Harun's forge in Dunes West. It is the same item as the Iron Pickaxe of the copper → iron → silver tool progression, and is shown in game as Iron Pickaxe. Its benefit is a 10% faster swing than the base Pickaxe — yield and Mining XP are unchanged by tool tier.
Use
- Equip the Lvl 2 Pickaxe in a hotbar slot (keys 1–6), same as the base Pickaxe.
- Use it on rock nodes to gather Stone, Coal, Iron Ore, or Silver Ore depending on the region.
- Each swing yields 1 resource; Mining XP is granted when the node is depleted — the same as every pickaxe tier. Node size changes how many hits it takes to deplete, not the yield per hit.
Acquisition
- Forged from scratch through Smithing — no base Pickaxe is consumed.

Durability
