The Blacksmith Forge is the smithing station located in Frostmere, operated by the NPC Grimjaw. Players visit the Blacksmith Forge to smelt ingots and forge copper, iron, and silver tools and weapons through the Smithing skill.

Frostmere has no entry requirement, so the forge is open to everyone. The old "Lvl 2" upgrade system was retired — its items live on as the iron tier of the current forge (the Lvl 2 Axe is the Iron Axe, and so on). One short note for returning players: the old flat-material upgrades (Metal + Wood + Coal) and the "doubles yield and XP" effect no longer exist — tool tiers now buy swing speed only.

Smelting

Ingots are smelted from raw resources, in batches of ×1 / ×5 / ×10:

Forging

Nine tools are forged from ingots plus Wood, gated by Smithing level 0–27:

Repairs

Forged tools carry 4,000 uses. The forge also repairs damaged tools — a repair costs 60% of the forge's material bill, scaled to the missing durability, minimum one ingot.

How to use

  • Travel to Frostmere — no level requirement.
  • Talk to Grimjaw at the Blacksmith Forge.
  • Have the required materials in your inventory or bank.
  • Select smelt, forge, or repair and confirm.

A second full blacksmith, Harun the Forgewright, operates in The Dunes West.
