The Shores is a calm seaside zone reached from the east side of The Pond. It has sand along the west edge, open ocean to the east, and follows the same safe rules as The Pond. The Shores is mainly used for higher-level Fishing and is the source of the rare Octopus Mount fishing drop.

Requirement: Players need a minimum Total Level of 20 to enter The Shores.

Fishing

The Shores is one of Kintara's main fishing locations. Players can cast a Fishing Rod into the ocean to catch Fish and continue training Fishing.

Base Fishing XP: 125 XP per catch (131 XP with 5% Guild bonus)

Tips

• The Shores gives the same base Fishing XP as The Pond — the main reason to fish here is the Octopus Mount rare drop chance.
• Stock up on Fish here to cook into Cooked Fish Meat for the Traveling Merchant bundle.
• Emberstone is accessible north from here at Total Level 25 — the next zone up for high-level Fishing and Combat.
