Skills are the main progression systems in Kintara. Most activities give skill XP, and several areas require a minimum average skill level to enter.

Kintara has six skills. Five core skills count toward Total Level, while Smithing is a bonus skill and does not count toward Total Level.

Woodcutting	Chopping trees for Wood.	Wilderness, Whisperwood	25 XP per tree, doubled with Lvl 2 Axe.
Mining	Mining Stone, Coal, and Metal.	Wilderness, Frostmere	25 XP per node, doubled with Lvl 2 Pickaxe.
Fishing	Catching Fish from water, or Molten Rock from lava.	The Pond, The Shores, Emberstone	125 XP per catch (The Pond/The Shores), 125 XP per lava cast (Emberstone).
Cooking	Cooking raw fish and chicken into food.	The Pond, Whisperwood	125 XP per cook batch.
Smithing	Forging Lvl 2 tools and weapons.	Frostmere	750 XP per forge action.

While training skills, mobs and resources can drop rare bonuses:

• **Combat:** Mobs drop Gold (various rates) and rare Beginner Scrolls (1 in 1,000 from Wilderness mobs)
• **Woodcutting:** Trees have an ultra-rare chance (1 in 150,000) to drop Pnut, a rare squirrel companion pet

These drops are passive bonuses on top of regular XP and loot.
