Whisperwood is a peaceful daylight forest south of the Mainland. It has no PvP and no wilderness mobs, making it one of the safest areas for gathering, cooking, pets, and housing-related activity. Whisperwood is also the only realm where new player shacks can be placed.

Ponds	Fishable water — catch Trout (Fishing 6, Trout Bait).
Player shacks	Whisperwood is the only realm where new shacks can be placed. Needs a Hammer equipped, plus a Shack Kit - or 500 Wood and 200 Stone if you do not have one. Picking your shack back up returns the kit.
Path to Frostmere	South route to the snowy blacksmith area — no level requirement.

Chickens and Cooking

Whisperwood Chickens are passive ambient creatures. If you stand on one it may peck you for at most 1 HP, but a peck can never kill you; they can be killed for Raw Chicken. Every chicken kill also drops a Feather, which fishing NPCs tie into Feather Bait one-for-one.

Whisperwood has trees, stone, and coal nodes for safe calm-zone gathering. Tool tiers speed up your swing but do not change yield or XP.

Tips

• Whisperwood is the safest gathering zone — no PvP, no hostile mobs, same XP rates as the Wilderness.
• The full Wolf Mount taming chain starts here — kill chickens, cook at the roast pit, then head to the Expanded Wilderness to feed Wild Wolves.
• Fish can also be cooked at the roast pits here — useful if you've been fishing at The Pond and want to cook in a calm area.
• Frostmere is connected from the south — no level gate, so the forge is open from day one.
• To place a Shack, equip a Hammer (free from the Site Foreman on the Mainland) and use it on a valid build tile in Whisperwood. The build costs a Shack Kit, or 500 Wood and 200 Stone if you do not hold one.
