Iron Ore is a mid-tier gathered resource in Kintara. It is obtained by mining rocks in Frostmere with a Pickaxe (requires Mining 5) — every Frostmere rock yields iron ore, while Wilderness rocks give Stone and Coal and Dunes rocks give Silver Ore. Iron Ore is smelted into Iron Ingots at any furnace, then forged into tools and armor.

Iron Ore is the foundation of the mid-tier crafting system — tools, weapons, and armor all begin here.

Ore Tiers

Iron Ore is the mid-tier in Kintara's ore system. The ore a rock gives depends on the region:

The speed bonus applies to the tools forged from each tier (swing speed), not to gathering the ore itself. Higher tiers craft better gear but require more progression.
