Magma Brutes are large hostile mobs found in Emberstone. They are the zone's main combat encounter and the only source of Brute Horn drops. Do not confuse them with the cosmetic Magma Brute Pet — that pet is no longer obtainable through gameplay and is only available on the Marketplace.

Magma Brutes give the highest open-world Combat XP of any mob in Kintara — more than Wild Dragon and significantly more than Wild Zombie.

Tips

• Bring Health, Shield, and Strength Potions from The Alchemist — Emberstone is a PvP zone and contact damage is heavy at 2 health sections per hit.
• Use a Lvl 2 Sword for double Combat XP per kill — the most efficient way to grind Combat at high levels.
• Three Magma Brutes are always active with 30-second respawns — kills chain quickly once you have the rhythm down.
• Brute Horn drops at 1-in-5 — expect roughly one horn every 5 kills while farming here.
