Services	Gives a starter fishing rod, sells and trades bait, and replaces lost rods.

The Old Fisher is an early fishing NPC found at The Pond, wandering the grassy bank beside the water. New players visit the Old Fisher to receive a Fishing Rod and begin training Fishing. The Old Fisher will also hand out a replacement rod to players who have lost or no longer carry one.

Bait

Every Pond catch requires bait (since August 2026). The Old Fisher covers the whole bait economy at The Pond:

• Trades 1 Feather → 1 Feather Bait for free.
• Sells all five baits (Feather Bait, Trout Bait, Bass Bait, Tuna Bait, and Squid Bait) at 1 Gold per 100.
• Runs the same fish-for-bait ladder as Dockhand Maren — 10 Herring → 5 Trout Bait, 10 Trout → 5 Bass Bait, 10 Bass → 5 Tuna Bait, 10 Tuna → 5 Squid Bait. Raw or cooked fish both count, and raw is spent first.

The Old Fisher's counter sells bait only — fishing rods and the Wooden Raft are sold exclusively by Dockhand Maren at The Shores.
