Cooked Herring is the cooked form of Herring. It was originally called Cooked Fish Meat, and older guides may still use that name. Since the fishing update each fish species cooks into its own item (Cooked Trout, Cooked Bass, Cooked Tuna, Cooked Swordfish); Cooked Herring is the Herring tier, and it is the one cooked fish used for Guild Life upkeep.
Cooking
Each cook consumes 1 Wood and can fail — the burn chance starts at 30% at low Cooking levels and slides down to 5% at level 40. A failed cook produces worthless Burnt Herring instead, which pays no XP.
