Silver Legguards is a high-tier armor piece that protects your legs and adds to your shield pool. It is the third piece in the Silver armor set and requires Combat 25 to equip.

All armor is crafted at the smithy through Smithing and uses ingots plus desert materials from Emberstone.

How to get

Forge at Grimjaw's anvil in Frostmere or Harun the Forgewright's forge in Dunes West.

Shield System

Silver Legguards adds +10 to your shield pool. Shield is now a points pool (not discrete charges):

• **Base shield:** 100 points (with no armor)
• **Full Silver set:** 140 points (+40 from 4 pieces)
• **Full Iron set:** 120 points (+20 from 4 pieces — comparison)

Shield absorbs damage before your HP is touched and does not regenerate on its own. Restore it with Shield Potions.

Armor Set

Silver Legguards is one of four armor slots in the Silver tier:

Wearing multiple pieces adds their shield bonuses. A full Silver set (all 4 pieces) gives +40 shield total — double the protection of a full Iron set.

Durability & Repair

Silver Legguards has 1,000 durability. Every hit you take (while wearing it) costs 1 durability point. A full Silver set (4 pieces) wears 4 times as fast in wall-clock terms since all pieces lose durability simultaneously.

Repair at any smithy:

• **Repair cost:** ~60% of forge ingot cost, scaled to durability lost (minimum 1 ingot per repair)
• **Example:** At 50% durability loss, repair costs ~2-3 silver ingots

Trading & Marketplace

Silver Legguards can only be sold or traded when **undamaged** (100% durability):

• Damaged pieces cannot be listed on the marketplace
• Damaged pieces cannot be player-traded
• Repair first at any blacksmith (Grimjaw or Harun), then it lists as new
• Undamaged pieces are valuable and fully tradeable

Silver is the highest armor tier. Comparison to Iron:

Silver armor gives double the shield bonus per piece but requires significantly higher progression — Mining 20 to gather Silver Ore, and Smithing 26 to craft legguards.

Silver Legguards is the second-most expensive piece to craft in the Silver set, requiring substantial farming and resources.
