Why cook
- Cooked Fish Meat is one of the five materials required by the Traveling Merchant for Gold (30 per exchange).
- Cooked Chicken tames Wild Wolves into a Wolf Mount — the only mount obtained through feeding rather than combat or fishing.
- Cook next to Fishing at The Pond to train both skills simultaneously.
- Cooking gives 45,000 XP per hour — the highest of any gathering skill and one of the best ways to raise Total Level quickly.
