The Mainland is the central hub of Kintara and the starting area for new players. It is a daylight safe zone where players can heal, bank items, visit shops, enter the casino, prepare for the Wilderness, and travel into the surrounding regions.
Most early routes begin here: north leads into the Wilderness, east leads to The Pond, and south leads to Whisperwood.

Services
The Mainland has most of Kintara's early-game services in one place. The Bank keeps items safe, the Traveling Merchant turns gathered resources into Gold, and the Casino offers roulette and blackjack. The Alchemist Shop sells potions and a weekly rotating mount, while the Quartermaster helps new players get ready for combat.
Healing
The central Fountain Plaza restores 20 HP every 2 seconds while you stand nearby. This makes the Mainland the safest place to recover after fighting in the Wilderness or duelling in the PvP Arena.

New player path
- Talk to the Quartermaster and get a Sword.
- Heal at the Fountain before leaving town.
- Go north to the Wilderness for early Woodcutting, Mining, and Combat.
- Return to the Bank often so you do not risk carrying too much.
- Use gathered resources with the Traveling Merchant to earn Gold.
