How to get Fishing in The Deep at The Shores (Fishing level 28, Squid Bait, Wooden Raft)

Swordfish is the fifth and highest tier of Kintara's five fish, caught only in The Deep — the raft-only water on the far eastern edge of the ocean at The Shores, just north of the buoy line. Cooking it converts it to Cooked Swordfish, the strongest fish heal in the game at 25 HP — or, on a failed cook, to Burnt Swordfish, which is junk.

Catching

Cooking Swordfish requires Cooking level 28. Cooking any fish is a roll against your Cooking level — the burn chance starts at 30% (level 5 and below) and slides down toward, but never reaches, 0% (5% at level 40). The Roast Pit shows your exact current burn chance.

Uses

  • One Angler outfit exchange takes 150 cooked fish of each species — Cooked Herring, Cooked Trout, Cooked Bass, Cooked Tuna and Cooked Swordfish — and grants 10 raffle tickets.
  • Swordfish is the top of the ladder: there is no further bait tier to trade it up to.
