Free Play and Access
Kintara is free to play. Players can create an account and enter the game without holding $KINS or connecting an external wallet.

Free players can access the core world and its activities, including:

* Mainland
* Wilderness
* Whisperwood
* Frostmere
* The Pond
* Fighting and gathering
* Fishing and cooking
* Bank storage
* Quests
* Casino Gold

Free play continues until the player's Total Level reaches 10. At Total Level 10, the account pauses at its current progression until it holds at least 1,000 $KINS.

Holding 1,000 $KINS unlocks the following paid biomes:

* The Shores
* The Dunes
* The Emberstone
* Glade Cave

The same balance also enables mount, pet, scroll and rare outfit drops. Existing holders who already meet the minimum are not affected by this access change.

Wallet and Account Access
Players can log in with email using a six-digit verification code. Other available login methods include:

* Google
* Discord
* X
* Passkeys

The Account tab of the in-game Wallet connects login methods to the same Kintara character. Players can also add an authenticator app or passkey as an additional wallet-security check.

Kintara uses a non-custodial Solana wallet powered by Privy. Kintara does not hold the player's private keys or funds.

For players who log in with email or a social account, the in-game wallet button opens the player's wallet and provides access to:

* $KINS and SOL balances
* A deposit address and QR code
* Buying SOL with a bank card
* Sending funds
* Converting SOL to $KINS

On Android, the wallet path uses Mobile Wallet Adapter. Tapping Play opens the player's installed wallet directly rather than displaying the normal login picker.

$KINS holder benefits are officially live. The more $KINS you hold, the more you unlock across Kintara — progression boosts, extra storage, daily rewards, and exclusive areas. Holder tiers scale with your $KINS balance, and every tier includes the benefits of every tier below it. Your tier is reflected in-game — your name changes color to match.

Holder benefits went live in Server Update v5.8. Benefits follow the balance in both directions. The name colour and XP boost follow the current balance. The threshold perks further down follow the lowest balance held over the last 24 hours, so a new perk arrives once the balance has been held for a full day, and leaves as soon as the balance drops below its line (an extra inventory row or bank page padlocks with its items still inside).

Acquiring $KINS
Acquiring $KINS
$KINS is not earned directly through gathering or combat. Players obtain it in two main ways:
* Buying externally — $KINS is tradeable on Solana DEXs (e.g. PumpSwap) and is listed on centralized exchanges including Blofin and MEXC. It launched with no presale and no airdrop.
* Selling in-game gold — players can list Gold for sale on the Marketplace, priced in $KINS. The buyer pays from a connected Solana wallet, and the seller receives $KINS in return. This is the only way to earn $KINS purely through gameplay.
Gold and $KINS can be exchanged in both directions through Marketplace listings — gold for $KINS, or $KINS for gold.

<div class="kin-note"><span class="kin-note-label">Verify:</span> The Holder Benefits announcement states that "every resource gathered, piece of loot earned and trade made through the marketplace can help you earn $KINS" as part of building holdings over time. This is broader marketing language than the "Acquiring $KINS" mechanics documented above, which currently state Gold-for-$KINS Marketplace sales are the only gameplay-based earning path. It's unconfirmed whether this reflects a genuine new direct-earn mechanic (resources/loot converting to $KINS) or is just reiterating that trading gathered goods on the Marketplace nets $KINS indirectly. Verify in-game before updating the acquisition mechanics above.</div>
Players can obtain $KINS in several ways:

* Buying externally — $KINS is tradeable on Solana DEXs, such as PumpSwap, and is listed on centralized exchanges including Blofin and MEXC. It launched with no presale and no airdrop.
* Buying through the in-game wallet — players can add SOL to their wallet and convert SOL to $KINS without leaving Kintara.
* Selling in-game Gold — players can list Gold for sale on the Marketplace as a $KINS listing (priced in US dollars and paid in $KINS at the live price). The buyer pays from a Solana wallet, and the seller receives $KINS in return. This is the main gameplay-based way to obtain $KINS.

Gold and $KINS can be exchanged in both directions through Marketplace listings — Gold for $KINS, or $KINS for Gold.

Marketplace Access
The 1,000 $KINS requirement no longer blocks players from entering Kintara or buying items. It controls access to Marketplace value-out features.

The following features unlock after the account has held at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours:

* Listing items or Gold on the Marketplace
* Player-to-player trading
* Wagers
* Guild-bank deposits
* Referral earnings
* The free daily Spinner Wheel spin
* Collecting Casino VIP rewards

The same hold also gates wilderness-death tombstone drops — accounts that have not met the held threshold drop no tombstone when they die in the Wilderness.

Buying, gathering, and playing remain available before the 24-hour holding period.

The Marketplace also received a major interface and listing update:

* A cleaner marketplace board
* Dedicated item pages
* Listing rows that show item speed and wear
* Bulk delists that return items with their listed durability
* Restored access to every page of listings
* Improved busy-server handling so an active server does not appear to have an empty market

Referrals
The Referrals system pays $KINS to players whose referrals buy $KINS-priced items on the Marketplace.

Players share a referral code. When a referred player buys a $KINS listing, part of the 5% Marketplace fee (1–2.5% of the price) is paid to the referrer in $KINS inside the buyer's transaction. There is no claim button or waiting period. Gold purchases pay no referral share, and the referrer must have held 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours to be paid.

A volume ladder increases the referrer's share as the referrals' lifetime Marketplace spending grows.

Every referral payout is recorded with its value in USD. A leaderboard tracks referral performance, and the account-registration form includes a referral-code field below the username.

$KINS
Type On-chain token (Solana)
Gathered at In-game wallet, Marketplace, Solana DEX/CEX purchase
Skill None
Used for Free play access, paid biome access, Marketplace listings, player trading, paid Spinner Wheel, Holder Benefits tiers

$KINS is the native Solana token tied to Kintara's on-chain economy. $KINS is used for extended game access, paid biome access, Marketplace listings, player trading, wagers, guild-bank deposits, the paid Spinner Wheel, and Holder Benefits.

A wallet holding 1,000 $KINS is no longer required to create an account or begin playing. New players can play for free until reaching Total Level 10. At that point, progression pauses until the account holds at least 1,000 $KINS.

Holding 1,000 $KINS unlocks the paid biomes and enables mount, pet, scroll and rare outfit drops. Marketplace listing, player trades, wagers, guild-bank deposits, referral earnings, Wilderness tombstones, the free daily Spinner Wheel spin and Casino VIP reward claims unlock after the account has held 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours. Buying, gathering and playing are not locked behind the 24-hour period.

Free Play and Access

Kintara is free to play. Players can create an account and enter the game without holding $KINS or connecting an external wallet.

Free players can access the core world and its activities, including:

Free play continues until the player's Total Level reaches 10. At Total Level 10, the account pauses at its current progression until it holds at least 1,000 $KINS.

Holding 1,000 $KINS unlocks the following paid biomes:

The same balance also enables mount, pet, scroll and rare outfit drops. Existing holders who already meet the minimum are not affected by this access change.

Wallet and Account Access

Players can log in with email using a six-digit verification code. Other available login methods include:

 • Google
 • Discord
 • X
 • Passkeys

The Account tab of the in-game Wallet connects login methods to the same Kintara character. Players can also add an authenticator app or passkey as an additional wallet-security check.

Kintara uses a non-custodial Solana wallet powered by Privy. Kintara does not hold the player's private keys or funds.

For players who log in with email or a social account, the in-game wallet button opens the player's wallet and provides access to:

 • $KINS and SOL balances
 • A deposit address and QR code
 • Buying SOL with a bank card
 • Sending funds
 • Converting SOL to $KINS

On Android, the wallet path uses Mobile Wallet Adapter. Tapping Play opens the player's installed wallet directly rather than displaying the normal login picker.

Holder Benefits

Holder benefits went live in Server Update v5.8. Benefits follow the balance in both directions. The name colour and XP boost follow the current balance. The threshold perks further down follow the lowest balance held over the last 24 hours, so a new perk arrives once the balance has been held for a full day, and leaves as soon as the balance drops below its line (an extra inventory row or bank page padlocks with its items still inside).

$KINS holder benefits are officially live. The more $KINS a player holds, the more they unlock across Kintara — progression boosts, extra storage, daily rewards, and exclusive areas. Holder tiers scale with the player's $KINS balance, and every tier includes the benefits of every tier below it. A player's tier is reflected in-game by changing the color of their name: free players' names appear in dark slate, while the 1K White tier paints the name pure white — the first visible cue of holder status.

Holder Tiers & XP Boosts

Tier Threshold XP Boost
White 1K $KINS Base tier
Blue 10K $KINS +1% XP
Green 100K $KINS +2% XP
Gold 1M $KINS +3% XP
Purple 5M $KINS +4% XP

The tier XP boost stacks additively with the guild +5% XP bonus — both are applied together in a single formula.

Additional Holder Perks

Beyond the tier bonuses above, holding specific $KINS thresholds for 24 hours unlocks further perks independently of the color tiers:

Threshold Perk
25K $KINS Double XP on daily-quest fixed rewards
50K $KINS An extra inventory row (24 → 30 slots) + My Outfits (5 saved looks)
75K $KINS Free bank page (+48 slots) + a second free daily Spinner Wheel spin
100K $KINS +5 Marketplace listing slots (on top of the base 5, or 10 for Kintara Club members)

Exclusive Spaces (Coming Soon)

Space Status
High Roller Room Holder-only area — coming soon, not yet live.
Pub / Club Dedicated social hub for the community — coming soon, not yet live.
Note: Kintara's official announcement states "This is just the beginning" — more perks, access, and in-game benefits are planned as further additions to the Holder Benefits system.

Acquiring $KINS

Players can obtain $KINS in several ways:

 • Buying externally — $KINS is tradeable on Solana DEXs, such as PumpSwap, and is listed on centralized exchanges including Blofin and MEXC. It launched with no presale and no airdrop.
 • Buying through the in-game wallet — players can add SOL to their wallet and convert SOL to $KINS without leaving Kintara.
 • Selling in-game Gold — players can list Gold for sale on the Marketplace as a $KINS listing (priced in US dollars and paid in $KINS at the live price).

The same hold also gates wilderness-death tombstone drops — accounts that have not met the held threshold drop no tombstone when they die in the Wilderness.

Buying, gathering, and playing remain available before the 24-hour holding period.

The Marketplace also received a major interface and listing update:

 • A cleaner marketplace board
 • Dedicated item pages
 • Listing rows that show item speed and wear
 • Bulk delists that return items with their listed durability
 • Restored access to every page of listings
 • Improved busy-server handling so an active server does not appear to have an empty market

Uses in Kintara

$KINS has several in-game roles:

Use Requirement Notes
Free game access No $KINS required Players can create an account and play the core world for free until reaching Total Level 10.
Extended progression Hold at least 1,000 $KINS Progression continues after Total Level 10 when the account holds the minimum balance.

Mount, pet, scroll and outfit drops Hold at least 1,000 $KINS Mount, pet, scroll and rare outfit drops become available.
Marketplace listings Hold at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours Listing items and Gold is part of the value-out system. Base listing capacity is 5 (10 for Kintara Club members); +5 more at 100K $KINS held.
Player trades Hold at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours Player-to-player trading unlocks after the holding period.
Wagers Hold at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours Wagering unlocks after the holding period.
Guild-bank deposits Hold at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours Depositing into a guild bank unlocks after the holding period.
Paid Spinner Wheel spins ~$5 worth per spin Optional paid spins on the Mainland plaza; 50% of the $KINS spent is burned. (Holding 75K $KINS adds a second free daily spin.)
Chest opening $KINS worth a set dollar amount per open The Demon Chest and Angel Chest are opened with $KINS (about $2 worth each at the time of writing), paid entirely to the treasury — nothing is burned.
Wishing Well burn Closed The charity campaign has concluded — donations and the accompanying $KINS burn are no longer accepted.
Holder Benefits tiers 1K–5M $KINS held Passive XP boosts and account perks that scale with balance.
Note: Holding 1,000 $KINS controls extended progression, paid biome access, mount, pet, scroll and outfit drops, and value-out features. It is no longer required to create an account, log in, or begin playing.
Note: $KINS holdings no longer affect Gold earning directly. The Traveling Merchant lottery — which previously scaled ticket entries with $KINS held — has ended following the merchant's death. Gold is now earned through mob and boss kills; see Gold. $KINS holdings now instead affect access, XP rate, account perks, and Marketplace-related features.

Token Sinks

The paid Spinner Wheel spin is currently the only live mechanic that removes $KINS from circulating supply (chest-opening fees and the Marketplace fee go to the treasury instead):

Mechanic Split Notes
Paid Spinner Wheel spin (Mainland) 50% burned, 50% to treasury Cost is roughly $5 worth of $KINS at the live price per spin.
Wishing Well $KINS burn 100% burned Closed. During the charity campaign, the optional burn was fully burned with nothing to treasury. The campaign has concluded and no new donations or burns are accepted.
Update: The Marketplace $KINS fee no longer contributes to the burn. It stays at 5% total, but the split changed from 2.5% treasury / 2.5% burned to 100% treasury, 0% burned. Sellers still receive exactly the same 95% as before — only where the remaining 5% lands has changed. With the Marketplace fee going to treasury and the Wishing Well campaign concluded, the paid Spinner Wheel is the only live $KINS burn mechanic.
Note: Gold sales on the Marketplace now pay a 5% seller-side fee (minimum 1 Gold) that is removed from the game entirely — a Gold sink, not a $KINS sink. See Marketplace.

Tokenomics

Figures below are pulled from public exchange/aggregator data, not an official Kintara dev statement — treat as approximate.

 • Max supply: 1,000,000,000 $KINS (1 billion)
 • Circulating supply: roughly 990–997 million as of mid-2026
 • Publicly cited burn total: approximately 5,085,570 $KINS burned (~0.5% of supply) — accumulated burn total predates the Marketplace fee-split change and may not reflect the current, slower burn rate going forward.

Risks

As with any small-cap game token, players should be aware:

 • The Kintara development team is not publicly identified, and there is no public smart contract audit.
 • $KINS price has been highly volatile since launch.
 • Treasury governance and fund usage are not publicly detailed.
 • Holding $KINS affects access to some game systems and may expose players to token-price risk.
