Building is the in-game system used to place player-owned structures with the Hammer tool. The Hammer places Shacks and firepits. Larger homes — Trailers, Houses, Mansions, Flats, Apartments and Penthouses — are purchased properties, bought at a For Sale sign on the Mainland or from the elevator tour at The Residences on The Pond, never hammer-built.

How It Works

  1. Equip a Hammer on your hotbar (keys 1–6).
  2. Stand on or next to a valid build tile.
  3. Click to place the structure.

New Shacks can only be placed in Whisperwood, one per player, and need a clear one-tile gap around them. A Shack costs 500 Wood and 200 Stone from the Build menu, or a Shack Kit (shown in your bag as "Shack (Portable)") clicked straight from your bag, which needs no hammer and no materials. If you are carrying a kit it is spent first and no Wood or Stone is taken. If you already own a Shack in Whisperwood, placing another moves it: the old one comes down and its furniture is returned to you.

A Firepit costs 20 Stone, 20 Coal and 50 Wood (or a firepit kit), burns for 30 seconds, and can be built on the Mainland, in the original Wilderness (not its extensions), at The Pond and in Whisperwood — one per player per realm.

Movement

The /pickup chat command packs a Shack or firepit you placed back into a kit in your bag, so you can place it again somewhere else.
