How to get Fishing at The Pond (Fishing level 1, Feather Bait)

Herring is the first of Kintara's four fish, caught at The Pond. It is the game's original generic fish, renamed when Fishing became a full skill — the same item, same stacks, same Marketplace listings as before, just under a new name. Nothing owned by existing players changed.

Cooking Herring converts it to Cooked Herring, which heals 5 HP — or, on a failed cook, to Burnt Herring, which is junk.
