Hot Air Balloon is a mount in Kintara. It gives a +25% move speed bonus. It was sold in The Alchemist's weekly mount slot for 50 Gold from 26 September to 3 October 2026 and isn't sold in any shop, so it can only be bought from other players on the Marketplace. The rider stands in a wicker basket under the balloon.

Note: Despite its looks, the Hot Air Balloon is not a flying mount — it floats at the same low hover as the Flying Carpet and otherwise rides like a ground mount.

It can be trained at Sorrel the Stablemaster (10 Gold per +5% session), but it cannot be gilded — it has no gold variant, so Sorrel's gilding ritual refuses it.

Restrictions

Hot Air Balloons cannot be ridden indoors — this includes every shop interior (cosmetic shop, bank, alchemist shop, pet shop, furniture shop and blacksmith), the Casino, and player homes.
