How to get	Dockhand Maren (The Shores) — 15 Gold

Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod is the third of Kintara's three fishing rods, sold by Dockhand Maren at The Shores for 15 Gold. It's built specifically for Emberstone lava and does nothing anywhere else — the exception to the rule that upgraded rods keep working in the water they replace.

How to get

Source	Price	Notes
Dockhand Maren	15 Gold	Sold at her dock, The Shores.

What it does

Casting the Fire-Resistant Fishing Rod into Emberstone lava pulls out Molten Rock — not fish.

Detail	Value
Bait required	None
Cooking required	None — Molten Rock isn't food
XP per haul	125
Live spots	2, spread across Emberstone's three lava pits

Lava casts can also bring up two rare drops on top of the Molten Rock: the Magma Pebble pet (1 in 10,000 casts) and the Ember Party Hat (1 in 30,000 casts). See Emberstone.

Where it works

Water	Works?
Emberstone lava	Yes — required. Emberstone itself needs Total Level 25 to enter, and like The Shores it is closed to free accounts (those holding under 1,000 $KINS).
The Pond	No
Whisperwood	No
The Shores	No

Use the Starter Fishing Rod or Level 2 Fishing Rod for every other water — this rod is lava-only.
