Wallet is Kintara's in-game Solana wallet and account-access hub. It lets players view balances, receive funds, buy SOL, send funds, and convert SOL to $KINS without leaving the game.

A wallet is not required to create an account, log in, or begin playing Kintara. Players can enter the game for free using email, Google, Discord, X, or a passkey.

Kintara's in-game wallet is non-custodial and powered by Privy. Kintara does not hold the player's private keys or funds.

Important: Never share a wallet seed phrase, private key, transaction approval, or email verification code with another player, support account, or anyone claiming to represent Kintara.

Opening the Wallet

The in-game Wallet opens from the card icon in the top-left area of the game interface.

On mobile, email players can also access the Wallet from the cog menu.

The Wallet interface provides access to balances and wallet actions without requiring the player to leave Kintara.

  • Email, with a six-digit verification code

Free Play and the Wallet

The Wallet is optional during the beginning of the game.

Players can:

  • Log in without an external wallet.
  • Explore the free world without $KINS.
  • Fight, gather, fish, cook, bank, and complete quests without funding the Wallet.
  • Play until reaching Total Level 10 without holding $KINS.
  • Add SOL later through the Wallet.
  • Convert SOL to $KINS when they want to unlock additional content.

Holding at least 1,000 $KINS unlocks progression beyond Total Level 10, paid biomes, and mount and pet drops.

Holding the minimum balance for 24 hours unlocks Marketplace listings, player trading, wagers, and guild-bank deposits.

Security

Kintara's Wallet is non-custodial. Players remain responsible for protecting their wallet and account access.

Players should:

  • Never share a private key or seed phrase.
  • Never share an email verification code.
  • Never approve an unexpected transaction.
  • Confirm the destination address before sending funds.
  • Use an authenticator app or passkey for additional security.
  • Check transaction details before signing.

The Account tab can be used to add wallet-security methods. When enabled, transactions require a second check through an authenticator app or passkey.

Android Wallet Access

The Android app uses Mobile Wallet Adapter as its wallet connection path.

On Android:

  1. Tap Play.
  2. The installed compatible wallet opens directly.
  3. Complete the wallet connection in the installed wallet.
  4. Return to Kintara to continue.

The Android wallet path avoids the normal wallet picker. It also addresses locked-wallet hangs, false cancellation messages, and Seeker sign-in issues.

Supported External Wallets

Kintara supports Solana-compatible external wallets for players who prefer to connect an existing wallet.

Wallet Type Platform Notes
Phantom Solana-native browser extension and mobile app Browser, iOS, Android Commonly used by the Kintara community.
Solflare Solana-native browser extension and mobile app Browser, iOS, Android Supports Solana and SPL tokens.
MetaMask Multi-chain browser extension and mobile app Browser, iOS, Android Supports Solana through compatible network functionality.

Supported external-wallet availability may vary by device, browser, and Kintara client.

The in-game Wallet and an external wallet should be treated as separate access paths. Players do not need to download one of the wallets listed above simply to create an account or begin free play.

Setting Up an External Wallet

Players who want to use an existing external wallet can follow these steps:

  1. Download a compatible wallet from its official website or app store.
  2. Create a new wallet or import an existing wallet.
  3. Securely store the wallet's recovery information.
  4. Purchase SOL or $KINS through a supported route.
  5. Transfer funds to the correct wallet address.
  6. Connect the wallet when Kintara requests an external wallet connection.

Never send recovery information to another person. Kintara support will not ask for a seed phrase or private key.
