Axe is the gathering tool used for Woodcutting. New characters receive a basic Axe from the Quartermaster (tutorial NPC) on the Mainland alongside their starter Pickaxe, Fishing Rod, and Hammer.
Use
- Equip the Axe in a hotbar slot (keys 1–6).
- Use it on trees in the Wilderness to gather Wood.
- Each swing yields 1 Wood and 25 Woodcutting XP.
Acquisition
- Starter inventory from the Quartermaster on the Mainland.
- Can be upgraded to a Lvl 2 Axe through Smithing at Frostmere, which doubles Wood yield and Woodcutting XP per swing.
