How to get The Angler's raffle at The Shores · Marketplace

The Angler Outfit is a three-piece cosmetic set — Angler Hat, Angler Vest and Angler Waders — earned through The Angler's raffle at The Shores. It sits at the end of the Fishing ladder: bought with cooked fish and luck rather than gold, and the longest grind in the game by design. Wearing the complete set makes your fishing bites 30% faster.

The raffle

The Angler stands at the seaward end of the dock at The Shores and trades cooked fish for raffle tickets:

Step Details
Exchange Every cooked fish is worth points — Cooked Herring 1, Trout 5, Bass 8, Tuna 9 and Swordfish 10 — and 500 points buys one Angler Raffle Ticket, up to 50 in one trade. You choose which fish the Angler may take; she takes the cheapest first and saves any spare points for your next trade.
Cooked only The exchange refuses raw fish; every fish must be cooked first.
Carried only The fish must be in your inventory or hotbar — banked fish don't count.
Rolling tickets Each ticket wins at 1 in 1,000. Tickets can be rolled one at a time, ten at a time, or a hundred at a time.
The prize A winning ticket pays one of the three pieces at random.
Other prizes A ticket that misses the outfit gets one more roll, for the Anglerfish mount, the Ocean Aura, the Anglerfish Lantern Hat or the Mounted Swordfish — see The Angler. A ticket pays at most one prize.
Bag space Make room before drawing — the Angler refuses a draw unless your wardrobe has a free space for each of the raffle's cosmetics not already in it (up to one per ticket drawn), and your mount and furniture bags have room for the other prizes. A refused draw spends no tickets.

There is no duplicate protection, on purpose: a hit picks any of the three pieces whether or not you already own it. All three pieces (and the tickets themselves) are tradeable, so spares can be sold and missing pieces bought on the Marketplace.

One ticket costs 500 points — 50 Cooked Swordfish, or 500 Cooked Herring — so a winning piece lands on average once per 1,000 tickets.

Wearing it

  • Wearing any Angler piece requires Fishing level 30.
  • Wear all three pieces at once and every fishing bite arrives 30% sooner, on every fishing ground in the game — the Pond, Whisperwood, the Shores (The Deep included), and even Emberstone lava fishing.
  • The bonus is checked server-side: you must own and wear the complete set. One or two pieces grant nothing.
