Supported Wallets are the cryptocurrency wallets compatible with Kintara's on-chain economy. An external wallet is optional — Kintara includes a built-in non-custodial Solana wallet — but players can use a supported external wallet to hold $KINS, make Marketplace token purchases, and pay for Kintara Club membership.

All supported wallets are Solana-compatible, since $KINS is a Solana SPL token and all in-game on-chain activity runs on the Solana network.

Important: Never share your wallet seed phrase or private key with anyone — not other players, not support accounts, and not anyone claiming to be from the Kintara team.

Supported wallets

Wallet Type Platform Notes
Phantom Solana-native browser extension and mobile app Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave), iOS, Android Most commonly used wallet in the Kintara community. Recommended for new players.
Solflare Solana-native browser extension and mobile app Browser, iOS, Android Full Solana support including SPL tokens. Alternative to Phantom.
MetaMask Multi-chain browser extension and mobile app Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge), iOS, Android Primarily an Ethereum wallet but supports Solana via network switching. Less commonly used for Kintara than Phantom or Solflare.

What you need a wallet for

Action Wallet required? Notes
Browsing the wiki or website No No wallet needed at any point.
Logging into Kintara No Kintara is free to play up to Total Level 10 with no wallet and no $KINS. Holding at least 1,000 $KINS unlocks progression past Total Level 10, the paid biomes, and mount and pet drops.
Trading on the Marketplace Sometimes Buying Gold-priced listings needs no external wallet. $KINS-priced purchases use a wallet balance, and selling requires the account to have held 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours.
Kintara Club membership Yes Membership is paid in SOL via a connected wallet.
Receiving Gold from Traveling Merchant No longer applicable The Traveling Merchant is dead — no trades or lottery entries. Previously, $KINS held in the wallet set the merchant ticket cap.

Setting up a wallet

  1. Download your chosen wallet (Phantom recommended for new players) from its official website or app store.
  2. Create a new wallet and securely save your seed phrase — this is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access.
  3. (Optional) Purchase $KINS from a supported exchange (Blofin, MEXC, or a Solana DEX like PumpSwap) — $KINS is not needed to start playing, but 1,000 $KINS unlocks progression past Total Level 10.
  4. Transfer $KINS to your wallet address.
  5. Connect the wallet from your Kintara account. Kintara also provides a built-in non-custodial wallet, so an external wallet is optional.
