Wild Dragons are dangerous hostile creatures found in the Wilderness, Wilderness Extension and Expanded Wilderness. They are stronger reward targets than Wild Zombies, giving more Combat XP and a chance to unlock the Dragon Mount.
Dragons are biased toward the northern part of the Wilderness, making them a higher-risk combat target.
Combat
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| HP | 75 — dragons take real sword damage per hit, so a starter sword (5 damage) needs 15 hits and a silver sword (30 damage) only 3 |
| Aggro range | 3 tiles |
| Contact damage | 3–12 HP per contact tick (rolled), at least 1.5 seconds between ticks |
| Combat XP | 75 |
| Respawn time | 60 seconds |
Roughly 40% of the wilderness mob pack spawns as dragons.
Drops and rewards
| Reward | Chance | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Combat XP | Always | 75 Combat XP per kill. |
| Dragon Mount | 1 in 25 / 4% | Duplicates are allowed — owning the mount no longer blocks further drops. Free-play accounts are excluded from mount drops. |
| Beginner Scroll | 1 in 1,000 | Rare unique quest scroll with 4 material deliveries + 1–2 bonus tasks. Redeems to Maelor the Scrollbinder for 2–5 Gold. |
| Daily quest progress | When active | Counts toward kill dragon daily quests. |
Wild Dragons no longer drop Gold — the old 1-in-200 Gold drop was removed in a 2026 update.
Where to find
| Location | Notes |
|---|---|
| Wilderness | Dragons are biased toward the northern, more dangerous area. |
| Wilderness Extension | Also uses Wilderness PvP rules. |
| Expanded Wilderness | Shares the realm with the Wild Wolves; same Wilderness PvP rules. |
Strategy
- Bank materials before hunting dragons.
- Heal at the Mainland fountain before entering the Wilderness.
- Use an Iron Sword if available — it hits for 26 damage versus the starter sword's 5, so dragons die in far fewer swings. Weapon tier does not change Combat XP.
- Stay aware of PvP; dragons are found in dangerous Wilderness areas.
- Dragon kills rarely drop Beginner Scrolls (1 in 1,000) on top of Combat XP and the mount roll.
