Solana is the blockchain that is used to power Kintara's economy and access system. A Solana wallet is not required to start playing — Kintara is free to play up to Total Level 10 — but on-chain features such as $KINS holdings, Marketplace token trades, and Kintara Club membership run on Solana.

Wallet and access

Kintara is free to play:

  • Anyone can create an account, log in, and play until reaching Total Level 10 — no wallet and no $KINS required.
  • Holding at least 1,000 $KINS unlocks progression past Total Level 10, the paid biomes, and mount, pet, scroll and rare outfit drops.
  • Kintara provides a built-in non-custodial Solana wallet, so an external wallet is optional. External Solana wallets can also be connected at kintara.com or kintara.gg.

Solana in Kintara

Solana is used across several in-game systems:

Feature How Solana is used
Kintara Club Membership is purchased using SOL directly from the server selection lobby.
$KINS The Solana game token. Holding 1,000 $KINS unlocks progression past Total Level 10, paid biomes, and mount, pet, scroll and outfit drops, and it is used for Marketplace transactions.
Spinner Wheel Paid spins cost $5 USD worth of $KINS. The wallet signs an on-chain transaction verified by the server before the wheel turns.
Marketplace Items can be listed for $KINS: the seller sets a US-dollar price and the buyer pays that much in $KINS on Solana.
Wallet SOL funds the in-game wallet, can be bought with a bank card, and converts to $KINS without leaving the game.
Wishing Well Charity donations were converted to SOL and sent on-chain. The campaign has concluded and donations are closed.
