Dialogue "You want the coat off my back, then. Fair enough — nobody wears this without earning it. Bring me cooked fish, any kind — the rarer the catch, the more it counts — and I'll hand you tickets. What the tickets pull out is between you and the sea."

The Angler is an NPC at The Shores who runs the raffle for the Angler Outfit — the game's Fishing chase set. She trades cooked fish for raffle tickets, at so many points a fish; what the tickets pay out is entirely random. A ticket that misses the outfit rolls once more for four more prizes: the Anglerfish mount, the Ocean Aura, the Anglerfish Lantern Hat and the Mounted Swordfish.

The Shores is a paid realm, so free-to-play accounts can't reach the Angler.

The Deal

Every cooked fish is worth points, and 500 points buys one Angler Raffle Ticket. Cooked fish only; raw fish are refused. Cooked fish must be in your inventory or hotbar; banked fish don't count.

Cooked fish Points
Cooked Herring 1
Cooked Trout 5
Cooked Bass 8
Cooked Tuna 9
Cooked Swordfish 10
Ticket 500 points

In her window you tap any fish you want to keep back, then pick how many tickets you want — up to 50 in one trade. She takes the cheapest fish first, so your rarer catch goes last, and before you trade she shows you exactly which fish it will take. A trade rarely lands exactly on a ticket, so any spare points are saved for your next trade.

Drawing Tickets

Each ticket rolls for the Angler Outfit first. A ticket that misses the outfit gets one more roll, for one of four more prizes. A ticket pays at most one prize.

Detail Value
Odds per ticket 1 in 1,000 for one random Angler Outfit piece
Duplicate protection None — duplicates are possible
Tradeable Every prize, including duplicates, is tradeable
Wear requirement Fishing level 30 (Angler Outfit pieces only)
Set bonus 30% faster fishing everywhere, including Emberstone lava, when all three pieces are worn together

The tickets are tradeable items, and only tickets in your inventory or hotbar can be drawn. Draws can be taken ×1, ×10, or ×100 at a time. Each prize lands in its own bag — the outfit, the aura and the hat in your wardrobe, the Anglerfish in your mount bag, the Mounted Swordfish in your furniture bag — and a draw needs room for every new prize it could win: a free wardrobe space for each of those cosmetics not already in your wardrobe (up to one per ticket drawn), and room in your mount and furniture bags. If a bag is short, the Angler refuses the draw and no tickets are spent. A set piece lands on average once every 1,000 tickets. The outfit odds were deliberately widened from the old 1-in-2,500 (roughly a quarter-million fish per hit), which had kept the whole outfit in single figures across the game.

Anglerfish Mount 1 in 2,400
