Minigames
Minigames is Kintara's wager-match hub. It replaced the old public PvP Arena. Open it with the trophy button by the minimap, or walk onto the arena arrows on the Mainland plaza, which now open the Minigames window instead of a shared arena (on mobile, use the Minigames entry in the menu). From the hub you can create or join wager lobbies for two games, Arena Deathmatch and Falling Tiles, practice for free, watch live matches, and climb the ladder.
The hub window
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Browse | Open lobbies to join, with live matches (and their WATCH doors) shown above them. Filter by stake (Gold / $KINS) and by game (Arena / Tiles). |
| Create | Start your own lobby: game, wager or free practice, spectators, auto-start, stake currency, entry, seats and (Deathmatch only) payout mode. |
| Lobby | The lobby you're seated in. |
| History | Your recent matches and results. |
| Board | The lifetime ladder, one per game (ARENA / TILES), sorted by Wins, Kills or Gold Won. Only wager matches count. This replaced the old arena leaderboard. |
Your $KINS balance appears as a green pill next to your Gold at the top of the hub. It opens the $KINS Wallet.
On desktop, an events dock in the corner of the HUD also lists open lobbies while you play, one click from joining. It can be collapsed, or switched off in Settings.
Arena Deathmatch
The hub's shooter: a fast first-person deathmatch in a purpose-built arena, with sprinting, jumping and a double-tap dash.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Players | 2–4 |
| Match length | 3 minutes |
| Health | 100. Body shots hit for 25, headshots for 50 |
| Rifle | 30-round magazine, about 600 rounds a minute, 2-second reload, unlimited reserve ammo |
| Respawn | 2 seconds, with 1 second of spawn protection that ends the moment you fire |
| Tie at the buzzer | Winner-takes-all lobbies only: 30 seconds of sudden death, and the first kill wins. Still tied, the pot splits |
The rocket launcher. A single-shot launcher appears on the centre dais when the match starts, and again 30 seconds after someone picks it up. Anyone within 3 units of where the rocket hits dies outright. Further out, damage falls off to 15 at the edge of the blast. The shooter is never hurt by their own rocket.
Matches count kills; deaths are the tiebreaker. Dropped players get 30 seconds to reconnect and land back in their own body with score and position intact. The body stays in the arena (alive and shootable) until the final whistle, so pulling the plug is never a defensive move.
Falling Tiles
A last-one-standing survival game. Everyone starts on the top of five stacked floors, each a 16×16 grid of tiles, with lava below the bottom floor.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Players | 2–6 |
| The tiles | Any tile you touch starts to break: it flashes yellow, then orange, then red, and is gone 2 seconds after contact. Nothing stops a tile once it starts, and a tile never comes back |
| Falling | Drop through a hole and you land on the floor below. There are no walls, so running off the edge also drops you. Fall past the bottom floor into the lava and you're out |
| Winning | The last player left standing wins. If the last two fall on the same instant, it's a draw and they split the pot |
| Match length | No timer: the players destroy the floors themselves. A match that somehow runs past 10 minutes is stopped and every stake refunded |
| Disconnecting | Leaving or losing connection during a live match eliminates you |
Movement is identical for everyone: level, gear and cosmetics make no difference. Players hang above the arena during the 10-second countdown and drop in together at GO. Falling Tiles is always winner-takes-all (there's no kill pot), and it has its own Board ladder.
Wagers and payouts
Every seat in a wager lobby stakes the same amount, in the currency the host picked: Gold or $KINS. Your stake is taken the moment you join. Gold leaves your backpack and $KINS leaves your in-game $KINS balance, and neither can be spent, traded or lost elsewhere while the lobby stands.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Stake per player (Gold) | 10 – 1,000,000 Gold |
| Stake per player ($KINS) | 10 – 100,000 $KINS (whole $KINS) |
| House fee | 5% of the pot (rounded down) |
| Payout modes | Winner takes all (a surviving tie splits it) or Kill pot (pot divided in proportion to kills; Deathmatch only) |
- You can leave, and get your whole stake back, until the lobby fills (or auto-start fires). After that you're locked in. A match that never gets going is cancelled and refunded; once the round starts, the wager is committed.
- An open lobby nobody fills is cleaned up and refunded after 15 minutes.
- A Deathmatch round where nobody scores at all refunds every stake and charges no fee.
- A lobby with auto-start on (the default) begins by itself once it has held at least 2 players for a minute, so there's no need to fill every seat. A player leaving restarts the minute.
- Winning a hub match counts toward the Minigame match wins daily quest.
Wagering, in either currency, requires the account to have held at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours (the same value-out rule as Marketplace listings and player trades). Trade-locked accounts can't wager.
Practice lobbies are free: no stake, no fee, and no effect on the ladder.
$KINS wagers
$KINS lobbies are staked from an in-game $KINS balance, which you fill and empty from the $KINS Wallet window (the $KINS pill in the hub, or the $KINS chip at the top-left of the HUD).
| Action | Rules |
|---|---|
| Deposit | Sends $KINS from the wallet you signed in with to the game; your wallet asks you to approve the transfer. Minimum 1,000 $KINS. Credited once the transfer confirms on-chain |
| Withdraw | Sends $KINS from your balance back to the wallet you signed in with. Minimum 1,000 $KINS, 1% fee. Paid out automatically |
| Ledger | Every deposit, match entry, refund, winning and withdrawal on your balance |
- Deposits and withdrawals need the same 1,000 $KINS / 24-hour hold as wagering, and aren't available to trade-locked accounts. $KINS you've deposited still counts toward that hold.
- Refunds and winnings from $KINS lobbies go back to your $KINS balance, not your backpack.
- The Board's Gold Won column counts Gold winnings only.
- If a deposit left your wallet but never showed up, Deposit not showing? in the wallet lets you paste the transaction signature to recover it.
Spectating
A match in play is public: the Browse tab shows who's hosting and what's at stake. Whether you can watch it is the host's call, made on the create form. Matches with spectators allowed (the default) carry a WATCH door; the rest are listed with the door closed.
Private wagers: PVP and Dice
Separate from the hub, you can challenge one player directly: click them, choose Wager, and pick a type. Both players then stake Gold and items in a trade-style window, and the winner takes both sides' stakes.
- PVP: the two of you are dropped into a private arena instance for a duel (mounts are stowed for the fight). If neither fighter lands the kill within 2 minutes, the server settles the fight on remaining HP, and a tie refunds both stakes.
- Dice Roll: after a 3-second countdown each player rolls two dice, announced in chat. The higher total takes the pot, and a tie returns both stakes.
Private wagers can be offered on the Mainland, in a shack, at The Pond, The Shores, Whisperwood, Frostmere, and inside player homes and rooms (unless the owner has turned trading off). They can't be offered in the Dunes, the wilderness, Emberstone or the Glade Cave. Both players need the same 1,000 $KINS hold as hub wagers, every skill except Smithing at level 5 or higher, and neither can be sitting in a Minigames lobby; the other player must also have Trade Requests switched on. Your wager and dice wins are counted in your Collection Log.
