Minigames is Kintara's wager-match hub. It replaced the old public PvP Arena: the arena entrance arrows on the Mainland plaza now open the Minigames window instead of walking you into a shared arena (on mobile, use the Minigames entry in the menu). From the hub you can create or join wager lobbies, practice for free, watch live matches, and climb the ladder.

Beta: The hub is marked BETA in-game — expect it to keep growing.

The hub window

Tab What it does
Browse Open lobbies to join, with live matches (and their WATCH doors) shown above them.
Create Start your own lobby: game, seats, stake, payout mode, auto-start and spectator switches.
Lobby The lobby you're seated in.
History Your past matches and results.
Board The lifetime ladder — this replaced the old arena leaderboard.

On desktop, an events dock in the corner of the HUD also lists open lobbies while you play, one click from joining — it can be collapsed, and switched off in Settings.

Arena Deathmatch

The hub's shooter: a fast first-person deathmatch in a purpose-built arena, with sprinting, jumping and a double-tap dash.

Rule Value
Players 2–4
Match length 3 minutes
Tie at the buzzer 30 seconds of sudden-death overtime — still tied, the pot splits
Health 100 — body shots hit for 25, headshots for 50

Matches count kills; deaths are the tiebreaker. Dropped players get 30 seconds to reconnect and land back in their own body with score and position intact — the body stays in the arena (alive and shootable) until the final whistle, so pulling the plug is never a defensive move.

Wagers and payouts

Every seat in a wager lobby stakes the same amount of Gold, escrowed the moment you join — it leaves your backpack and can't be spent, traded or lost elsewhere while the lobby stands.

Rule Value
Stake per player 10 – 1,000,000 Gold
House fee 5% of the pot
Payout modes Winner takes all (a surviving tie splits it) or Kill pot (pot divided in proportion to kills)
  • Leaving a lobby before the match commits returns your stake in full; once the round starts, the wager is committed.
  • An open lobby nobody fills is cleaned up and refunded after 15 minutes.
  • A round where nobody scores at all refunds every stake and charges no fee.
  • A lobby with auto-start on begins by itself once it has held at least 2 players for a minute — no need to fill every seat.

Wagering requires the account to have held at least 1,000 $KINS for 24 hours (the same value-out rule as Marketplace listings and player trades).

Practice lobbies are free: no stake, no fee, and no effect on the ladder.

Spectating

A match in play is public — the Browse tab shows who's hosting and what's at stake. Whether you can watch it is the host's call, made on the create form: matches with spectators allowed carry a WATCH door; the rest are listed with the door closed.

Private wagers: PVP and Dice

Separate from the hub, you can challenge one player directly: click them, choose Wager, and pick a type. Both players then stake Gold and items in a trade-style window, and the winner takes both sides' stakes.

  • PVP — the two of you are dropped into a private arena instance for a duel (mounts are stowed for the fight). Winning a wager fight also grants 50 Combat XP.
  • Dice Roll — after a short countdown each player rolls two dice, announced to everyone nearby; the higher total takes the pot, and a tie returns both stakes.

Private wagers can be offered on the Mainland, in a shack, at The Pond, The Shores, Whisperwood and Frostmere — not in the Dunes, the wilderness, or the arena. They need the same 1,000 $KINS hold as hub wagers. Your wager and dice wins are counted in your Collection Log.
