Housing & Real Estate covers Kintara's player-owned residences and rentable rooms.

Each residence comes with a key that grants access and can be walked into and customized with furniture purchased from Bartholomew at the furniture showroom. Players can also rent rooms through the Navigator.

Every property can also run a Money Printer for passive Gold income. Keys are the most sought after, rare, and expensive items in all of Kintara. At launch they were purchasable directly with Gold, but are now exclusively obtained through the Marketplace or player-to-player trading.

Key Types

There are three tiers of keys, each unlocking different residence types:

Key Unlocks
Bronze Key Flat · Trailer
Silver Key Apartment · House
Gold Key Penthouse · Mansion

Rooms

Rooms are rentable player spaces that can be opened to everyone or locked behind a password. When creating a room, the owner can choose its size, layout, floor, backdrop, and name.

Rooms use Room Life, a weekly payment system:

Room size Capacity Room Life cost
Small 10 players 10 Gold per week
Medium 25 players 25 Gold per week
Large 50 players 50 Gold per week

Kintara Club members pay 20% less Room Life. Property owners receive 25% more Room Life for the same Gold payment.

A player can hold up to three rooms at the same time.

Rooms can be furnished using the Catalogue button inside the room. Furniture purchased this way is stored in the player's Furni bag and can be placed, moved, and rotated inside the room.

The Navigator is a live room browser available from the compass button in the HUD or the Navigator tile in the mobile menu.

Players can use the Navigator to:

  • Browse rooms across every server.
  • Search rooms by name or category.
  • Sort rooms by activity and player population.
  • Enter a room directly from anywhere in the game.
  • Find rented rooms and player-owned properties.
  • Discover rooms and properties advertising events.

The Navigator can be opened while the player is anywhere in the game. However, it cannot be used to travel while the player is outside a safe area in a wilderness realm.

Player-owned properties appear in the Rooms list when the owner is home, shown with a light-on indicator. Properties can also appear under the Navigator's Mine tab.

Room Management

Room owners can give trusted players permission to place furniture and kick other players from the room.

The following room-management commands are available:

Command Function
/kickall Kicks all players from the room.
/pickall Picks up all furniture in the room.

Money Printer

Every property owner can buy and activate a Money Printer inside their residence — a machine that earns passive Gold by paying out a share of the Casino's losses.

  • Bought for 1,000 Gold from a pop-up option while standing inside your property.
  • One-time activation, no fuel or upkeep. It accumulates Gold passively, even while offline, and is claimed at will.
  • One printer per property.
  • Your cut of casino losses scales with your key tier — Gold Key properties earn the highest cut, then Silver Key, then Bronze Key.

See Money Printer for full mechanics and the tier payout table.

Real Estate By Region

The Mainland is the primary urban hub for real estate and offers three property tiers.

Mansion Gold Key Luxury 100 Gold Top of the Mainland real-estate ladder.

The Pond

The Pond offers apartment-style residences with a waterside view. Housing NPCs Beauregard and Marguerite are located here to assist with property tours and purchases.

Penthouse Gold Key Luxury 4,500–6,500 Gold Top-floor Pond residence (Penthouse 1–3).

Whisperwood

Whisperwood is the only region where players construct their own personal structure rather than purchasing a pre-built one.

Property Image Key required Tier Notes
Shack None Self-built One per character. Built with a Hammer and gathered materials. Can be relocated with the /pickup chat command.

Customization

Every residence and rented room can be furnished with furniture. Furniture is sold by Bartholomew at the furniture showroom and can also be purchased through the Catalogue button inside a player's own room or property.

Purchased furniture is stored in the player's Furni bag. Pieces can be placed, moved, and rotated inside rooms and properties.

Furniture placement is server-authoritative, so the layout shown to one player is also visible to other players. Furniture is solid, allowing players to walk around couches and chairs instead of walking through them.

See Furniture and Furni Shop for available furniture and catalogue details.

Events

Players can advertise an event at a rented room or at a property they own. These event locations can appear in the Navigator so other players can find and join them.

Owned properties can appear in the Navigator's Mine tab.

Obtaining A Residence

Keys were originally purchasable with Gold at game launch. They are no longer available through any in-game source and can only be obtained by:

Due to their limited supply and high demand, keys are consistently among the most expensive items listed on the Marketplace.

Bank Storage

Players can also expand their Bank storage by purchasing additional pages with Gold. This is separate from housing but also a significant Gold sink:

Bank page Slots added Cost
Page 1 48 slots Free (default)
Page 2 48 slots 10 Gold
Pages 3–6 48 slots each Cost increases with each page

Placeable Structures

In addition to housing, players can drop small functional objects in the world.

Object Function
Money Printer Property machine — earns passive Gold from Casino losses. One per property, 1,000 Gold, with the payout scaling by key tier.
Firepit Provides healing for the player who placed it and nearby allies.

Marguerite Housing guide The Pond — assists with property tours and purchases.
