Not to be confused with the Lightning Cape, a different purple cape that crackles with lightning.
How To Get
At the time of writing, the Purple Cape is part of the Kintara Club Rewards bundle, alongside 2 Gold. Active Club members can claim the bundle once, after finishing the day's Daily Quests. The bundle is replaced from time to time, so this source can change.

Crafting
Purple Cape is one of the seven capes consumed to craft a Rainbow Cape at Zahir the Dyeweaver in The Dunes West — the recipe takes one each of the Purple, Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Orange and White Capes.
