How to get Dropped by Zombies, Dragons, Wolves in Wilderness (1 in 1,000) · Season reward track

A Beginner Scroll is a soulbound quest item that drops from wilderness mobs. Each one is uniquely generated with its own story, title, and tasks. Complete all four material deliveries plus your bonus objectives, then redeem it to Maelor the Scrollbinder for Gold.

How to get

Beginner Scrolls drop from Zombies, Dragons, and Wolves in the Wilderness and Wilderness Extension at a **1 in 1,000 chance per kill**. Scrolls can also be granted by Season reward track stops, sized to your level.

You can hold up to 5 scrolls at once, and any held scrolls are destroyed on death.

Tasks

Each Beginner Scroll contains:

  • 4 material-delivery tasks — Gather specific materials and deliver exact amounts to specific NPCs. Every scroll specifies which NPC and how much. Tasks commonly involve delivering Wood, Stone, Coal, Fish, or other gathered resources.
  • 1–2 bonus tasks — Randomly generated objectives from any in-game activity: cooking, fishing, mob hunts, gathering, or other adventures. Each scroll is unique.

Reward

Complete every task and bring the scroll to Maelor the Scrollbinder on the Mainland to redeem it for **2–5 Gold**.

Tips

  • Beginners scrolls are rare — 1 in 1,000 is a long grind. Be patient.
  • Scrolls cannot be banked — redeem them before risking death. Dying in the Wilderness burns all scrolls you're carrying.
  • Complete tasks systematically to avoid backtracking.
  • Bonus tasks vary wildly — you might cook, fish, fight mobs, or gather. Be ready for anything.
