The quest card shows how many caps are still left while you work through the chapter. Once all 100 are gone, they are gone for good — the cap is never sold in a shop and never comes back.<br />

* [[Free to play|Free-play accounts]] and trade-locked accounts can still finish the chapter, but don't take one of the 100 caps.<br />
* If your account wasn't eligible when you finished, you can still claim a cap later from the quest card — as long as caps remain.<br />
* Each account can only ever get one cap from the story.<br />
* The cap goes to your cosmetic bag. If the bag is full, the final step can't be completed until you make room — and a spot isn't held for you in the meantime, so clear space before you name the killer.<br />
